Water is one of the universal prime resources with global importance. Water management, water knowledge, and water usage should be assessed from a necessarily interdisciplanary point of view.

Many of its far reaching aspects connected to todays life and living are related to its mineral and medical properties and its usage as thermal spring water. The study of the resource and its exploitation clearly influences the quality of living in the modern society contributing significantly to the welfare state of a population.

The international conference will take place coincidating timely with TERMATALIA (15th International Fair of Thermal Tourism, Health and Welfare) in Ourense (Galicia, Spain), September 23rd and 24th, 2015. Ourense as city and province is characterized by its high thermal potential and constitutes a true reference on Iberian, European and international level.
